At the beginning of the day we had a photo shoot. Most of the delegates were still tired from the MUNOG party, but everyone slowly woke up and started participating in the debates.  

After the photo shoot, the Delegate of the United Nations of America presented their OC which they wanted to keep in the resolution, to which the delegate of the Peoples Republic of China responded, that the clause is not necassarily important. The OC ended up passing, with 10 votes in favour and 8 votes against.  

Another interesting part of the resolution was discussed; the use of AI. The goal of the US is to regulate the use of the AI, as one of the delegates asked if they want to regulate the development of this matter. The Representative of the United States wants to carry out the regulation, by highlighting special traits of AI.  

HRW held a speech in favor of the regulation of AI. The delegate said that the use of AI is dangerous, to which China said, that the AI was responsible for the increasing safety in china  and that every representative should take them as an example of them. The OC ended up getting 10 votes in favour, 2 against and 4 obstaining. 

China then proposed, that this OC should completely be taken out of the resolution, and they wanted to add admentments instead of it. In the delegates opinion, there are too many mistakes to edit, which is why the Represantative proposed to take out the entire OC and solve the problem that way. However, this propsal ended up not passing, since only two delegates voted in favour.
